Inside the Dome
One room, the whole sky.
Woods & Wild is a single, private geodesic dome — not a resort, not a row of units. One booking at a time means the entire experience is yours. The dome features a plush bed positioned beneath panoramic, sky-facing windows, a cozy gas fireplace, climate control, and a private bathroom with hot water. You sleep beneath open sky and wake to nothing but the Woods.
The single-room layout keeps everything close — the bed, the fireplace, the kitchenette, the view — so nothing comes between you and the forest outside. It is one of the most unique stays in northern Alberta precisely because it asks nothing of you but presence.
Included With Every Stay
The essentials.
The Bed
A plush bed positioned beneath panoramic, sky-facing windows — luxuriously soft sheets, pillows, down comforters, and blankets.
Gas Fireplace & Heat
A gas fireplace with a personal thermostat keeps the dome warm and comfortable regardless of season, even well below freezing.
Kitchenette
A small fridge, hot plate, basic cookware, and a coffee station indoors — plus an outdoor BBQ grill and fire pit for cooking under the sky.
Private Bathroom
A private bathroom with hot water. Fresh bath and hand towels are included, along with locally handmade soap and bath salts.
Wood-fired Hot Tub
The "Fire" half of Fire & Ice — a private, wood-fired cedar hot tub set among the trees, yours alone with no schedule.
Cold Plunge
The "Ice" half — a private cold plunge. Alternating hot and cold trains the vascular system and deepens sleep and recovery.
Campfire Area
A private fire pit with firewood provided for cooking, s'mores, and evenings under the stars.
Analog Comforts
A record player with handpicked records, a curated board game selection, outdoor games, and walking trails — no Wi-Fi, by design.
The Signature Experience
Fire & Ice.
The centrepiece of every stay is the Fire & Ice contrast-therapy experience — a private wood-fired cedar hot tub (the Heat) paired with a cold plunge (the Cold), set among the trees. Alternating hot and cold trains the vascular system, strengthens the nervous response, and improves recovery, sleep, and resilience to stress.
Few glamping sites with a hot tub in Alberta pair the heat with a true cold plunge, and fewer still offer both privately. At Woods & Wild, the tub and plunge are yours alone — no schedule, no audience, no rush. Cold plunge access is restricted to guests 14 and older.
What to Bring

- —Warm, layered clothing — especially in winter, when temperatures can drop well below freezing
- —Sturdy, weatherproof footwear for the walk in and the trails
- —Personal toiletries and a toothbrush (we provide towels, soap, and bath salts)
- —Groceries for your stay — the kitchenette has the basics, and the nearest store is 5 minutes away
- —A sense of slow. There is no Wi-Fi, no itinerary, and no rush.
Arrival
Contactless check-in.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. We operate a fully contactless check-in — you'll receive a welcome email with all instructions and access codes approximately two days before your arrival.
You park at the start of the property (cars stay out of sight, on purpose) and walk about three minutes with a slight incline to the dome. A 4WD vehicle is recommended in winter. Cell service is limited, which is why we provide clear arrival instructions in advance.
