Our Story
Before it had a name,
it had a tent.
The Seed
In 2015, it started with land.
Chad purchased a beautiful piece of land in the Saddle Hills. At the time, we weren't even a couple. We lived separately on the same property, never imagining the story that was about to unfold.
Over time, friendship became love. We got married, blended our families, and this land became the place where we built our life together.

The Wedding
July 1, 2018.
We were married on our property overlooking the Saddle Hills. We celebrated with family and friends beneath wedding tents tucked into the trees, and that night we spent our first night as husband and wife in an outfitter's canvas tent.
It was simple.
It rained.
It wasn't picture-perfect.
But it was unforgettable.

The Spark
"That would be so neat to experience."
When our family and friends saw the tent and heard about our experience, so many of them said the same thing. That's when the idea for Woods & Wild was born.
As we thought about it more, we realized it wasn't just the tent people loved. It was the peace they found here. Over the years, our land became a place where friends and family loved to visit. They'd gather around the fire, explore the trails, slow down, and enjoy being together. Time after time, people left saying how peaceful it felt.
We realized this was something we wanted to share.

The Vision
Not a business. An invitation.
So Woods & Wild was born. Not as a business idea, but as a way to invite others to experience the same quiet, connection, and unforgettable moments this place has given us for so many years.
Our very first retreat, The Stag, is where that dream begins. It's the first of many unique stays we hope to create, each thoughtfully designed to help our guests slow down, reconnect, and create memories they'll carry home long after their stay.

The Invitation
Our hope is simple:
That when you leave, you'll take a little of the peace you found here home with you… and maybe a few unforgettable memories too.
Welcome to Woods & Wild.
